Adult Learners Week – Skills Workshop

🎉 In celebration of 30 years of Adult Learners Week (1–8 September 2025), we’re excited to invite you to an engaging session on Irlen Syndrome and Dyslexia, hosted by Read Write Now and presented by Jo Starke from the Dyslexia & Irlen Clinic WA.

At Read Write Now, we believe learning is for everyone, at any age. Adult education opens doors, builds confidence, and creates opportunities – and it’s something we are proud to support every day.

In this interactive session, Jo will explore the differences and overlaps between Irlen Syndrome and dyslexia, explain how adult dyslexia is diagnosed, and highlight what to look out for—from common symptoms and behaviours to subtle signs that may indicate a learning challenge. She will also share practical guidance on recognising these signs, referring for assessment, and applying strategies to overcome learning barriers.

Learn how to support yourself or others and unlock your full learning potential.

Who can join: Adult learners, anyone curious about learning challenges, educators, or support workers.

Register now via email at readwritenow@nmtafe.wa.edu.au to discover strategies and tools that make learning easier and more accessible.
