Twenty-eight Read Write Now volunteer tutors recently attended Digital Inclusion Champion training at Leederville TAFE, delivered by WACOSS as part of the WA Digital Inclusion Project. Read Write Now is a partner in this important initiative, which aims to strengthen digital inclusion across Western Australia.

The Community Champions Program is a key component of the project. Community members are recruited and supported to become Champions, receiving training and practical resources to build their digital knowledge and confidence. Champions then deliver digital information sessions within their own networks, helping extend the reach of accessible and reliable digital support into local communities.

Many adult learners face barriers to digital participation, including limited skills, confidence or access to devices. Through this partnership, Read Write Now continues to support adult learners to strengthen their literacy and digital skills, while also upskilling volunteer tutors to meet evolving community needs. This collaborative approach broadens our impact and supports greater participation in an increasingly digital world.
