Sometimes the hardest part of learning is simply asking for help. Across the South West, Read Write Now tutors provide free, private and practical one-to-one support for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, maths, English or digital skills.

Tutors can help with everyday tasks, TAFE studies, workplace literacy, English language development, study skills and maths—always at a pace that suits the learner.

Face-to-face tutoring is available in several South West communities, including Bunbury, Busselton, Cowaramup, Quindalup, Dunsborough and Pemberton. Online tutoring may also be available for learners who live further away, have limited transport or need more flexibility.

Our tutors come from a wide range of backgrounds. Some are retired teachers, while others bring experience from business, training, community services and different workplaces. This broad mix of skills helps us support learners with many different goals.

At our recent South West tutor catch-up at Bunbury Library, tutors and staff discussed local needs, shared practical ideas and explored how online tutoring can help reach more learners across the region.

Tutoring is also an ongoing learning journey for our volunteers. Regular catch-ups, workshops and professional development help tutors strengthen their skills, exchange ideas and continue learning from one another.
